Akashi 5 Years Old Sake Cask Single Malt Whisky

Imagine taking a quick stroll from Kobe Bay and being embraced by the refreshing ocean breeze. This delightful whisky perfectly captures that same coastal essence with its pure, saline flavor. Akashi, also known as the “Sun Rise City”, has a rich history dating back 500 years. The distillery, Eigashima Shuzo, has been a family business for over three centuries, specializing in traditional Japanese beverages such as sake. In fact, it was in this very town that Japan's first whisky license was issued in 1919. Despite being the country's smallest whisky producer, Eigashima Shuzo takes great pride in their craft, employing a dedicated team of only five people. It wasn't until 1984, when their state-of-the-art copper pot stills were installed, that their reputation for producing premium whiskies began to take shape at their 'White Oak' facility. With a strong focus on creating top-quality, smooth-drinking whisky, their production is limited to ensure.
