El Tesoro de Don Felipe tequila honors Don Felipe Camarena, the man who established La Altena Distillery in 1937, where El Tesoro continues to be distilled today. El Tesoro tequila is ‘the treasure’ of Jalisco, created in celebration of Don Felipe’s most precious asset: his agaves. El Tesoro Extra Anejo is rested in ex-bourbon barrels by Carlos’s father, Don Felipe J. Camarena Orozco and aged 4-5 years, El Tesoro Extra Anejo is a unique treasure with outstanding flavors. The taste is smooth and very well-balanced. Coffee and dark chocolate are present, followed by dry fruits and roasted almonds. The finish brings forward a hint of pepper with an oak flavor.
